Overview
In March-May, HYVE laid out its newly updated development roadmap, consisting of four different Eras, all aimed at creating a radical shift in our ecosystem and introducing new features that would improve the overall collaborative experience. The Eras of Development would each cover various periods, all to be completed in more than a year. The platform would undergo a massive transformation, including a rebranding and an entirely new UX/UI. Emerging technologies such as AI and new trends such as gaming marketplaces would all be introduced in the platform. This significant update marks the beginning of HYVE's First Era, introducing disruptive enhancements and innovative features aimed at redefining the freelancing experience. The first update started with less disruptive features, but focused more on improving the existing features.
Features
- Implemented analytics for listings, providing users with insights into the number of applicants, views, and purchases for each listing. This data-driven approach enables informed decision-making for freelancers and clients.
- Implemented the ability to designate listings as either public or private. Public listings are visible to all users, whereas private listings are accessible only to assigned individuals, offering greater control over visibility and collaboration.
Improvements
- Unified the previously separate categories of tasks and jobs into a single listing type. This consolidation simplifies the user experience by eliminating confusion between the two categories.
- Added a popup feature that alerts users to the latest platform updates upon login, ensuring that all improvements are communicated effectively
- Enabled audio alerts for various platform events, such as solution acceptance and listing updates. Users can customize their experience by muting these notifications if desired.
- Launched a new page ('Request a Feature') accessible from the footer, allowing users to suggest new features and enhancements, as this fosters a community-driven approach to platform development.
Fixed
- Resolved issues with the Blast L2 Mainnet integration, ensuring that users can select and add Blast as a supported blockchain in their Metamask wallets.
- Corrected a bug that caused an incorrect display of job listings on mobile devices, ensuring consistency across platforms.
- Addressed functionality issues on the whitepaper page for mobile devices, ensuring that all site content is accessible without problems.
- Improved the accuracy of user review scores displayed on homepage listing cards, enhancing the reliability of user feedback.
- Corrected the aspect ratio of freelancer card descriptions and titles, improving visual coherence and user experience.
- Fixed the height of the user notifications container to ensure notifications are displayed effectively and without clutter.
